Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    X-ray Wrist

An X-ray Wrist is used to check for fractures, sprains, or bone alignment in the wrist and hand. The test takes 5–10 minutes, and the report is available within 6 hours. The price is ₹250–₹300, and it involves minimal, medically safe radiation.

    What is an X-ray Wrist?

A wrist x-ray is a non-invasive and painless imaging technique that displays the structure of the patient’s wrist. This type of x-ray is used to diagnose a variety of conditions like fractures, dislocations, arthritis, and abnormalities. It helps in examining the bones of the forearm, the eight carpal bones of the wrist, as well as the joint between the hands and forearm.

An x-ray beam passes through the wrist of the patient and is captured on a digital film. The wrist x-ray is also helpful in identifying any wrist pain, swelling, tenderness, and limited movement.

When and why is an X-ray Wrist done?

An X-ray Wrist scan is done to assess wrist pain, swelling, or injury. It helps detect fractures, dislocations, arthritis, or bone deformities. This scan is commonly recommended after a fall or trauma to evaluate bone alignment and joint stability.

What happens before an X-ray Wrist?

Before your X-ray Wrist, our radiographer will review your medical history and symptoms, such as wrist pain, swelling, stiffness, or injury. You may be asked about any previous fractures, surgeries, or metal implants in the area.

You will need to remove watches, bracelets, rings, or any metallic objects around your wrist and hand, as these can interfere with the X-ray image.

No fasting or special preparation is required for this procedure. You can eat, drink, and take your regular medications as usual. Wearing loose, comfortable clothing will help make the process faster and easier.

What happens during an X-ray Wrist?

During the test, you will be guided to the X-ray room and seated comfortably beside the X-ray table. The radiographer will position your wrist on the table or the X-ray plate, usually with your palm facing down. Depending on the doctor’s requirement, multiple views may be taken such as AP (anteroposterior) and lateral views — to get a complete picture of the wrist bones and joints.

You will be asked to stay still for a few seconds while the X-ray is taken to avoid any blurring of the image. The procedure is completely painless, quick, and typically completed within 5–10 minutes. A very small and safe amount of radiation is used to obtain detailed images of the wrist.

What happens after an X-ray Wrist?

After the imaging, you can immediately return to your normal activities. There are no side effects or downtime associated with an X-ray Wrist scan.

The captured images will be carefully reviewed by our radiologist to identify any fractures, dislocations, bone deformities, or joint abnormalities.

A detailed report will be prepared and shared with your referring doctor or orthopaedician, who will discuss the findings with you and recommend further treatment or follow-up if necessary.

Who shouldn’t get an X-ray Wrist?

    • There are some restrictions to who can get a wrist x-ray, and they are:
    • Patients with injuries to the wrist
    • Obese patients
    • Patients with medical conditions that can aggravate when exposed to x-ray radiation
