At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.
Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.
Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.
At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.
We achieve this through:

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

An X-ray Knee AP View captures the front view of your knee joint to help detect fractures, arthritis, or ligament damage. The test takes about 5–10 minutes, and the report is ready within 6 hours. It costs ₹550 and involves only minimal radiation exposure, making it a safe and routine diagnostic procedure.
A knee AP view is a non-invasive and painless imaging technique that displays the anterior and posterior view of the knee joint. Doctors use this type of x-ray to diagnose a variety of conditions like fractures, dislocations, osteoarthritis, and knee disorders. A knee AP view exposes the front-to-back view of the knee.
It helps in examining the thigh bone, shin bone, smaller bone in the lower leg, and the knee cap. An x-ray beam is projected from the front of the knee to the back and offers information around the soft tissues, inflammation of the joint and the space between the joint.
An X-ray Knee AP (Anteroposterior) View is done to evaluate the front-to-back structure of the knee joint. It helps detect fractures, arthritis, joint spacing, and bone alignment issues. Doctors recommend this scan for patients with knee pain, swelling, or injury to assess bone integrity and joint health.
Before your X-ray Knee AP View scan, our radiographer will verify your medical history, symptoms, and any previous knee injuries or surgeries. You may be asked to remove any metal objects, such as jewelry, watches, or clothing with zippers or buttons, as these can interfere with the image quality.
If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, it is very important to inform the technician beforehand so that necessary precautions can be taken or an alternative imaging method can be recommended.
No fasting or special preparation is required for this scan. You may continue with your regular meals and medications. Wearing loose, comfortable clothing or a hospital gown will make the process easier and faster.
During the scan, you will be guided to the X-ray room and positioned either lying down or standing, depending on the type of X-ray machine used and your comfort. The “AP” or anteroposterior view means the X-ray beam passes from the front of your knee to the back.
The radiographer will position your leg carefully so that the knee joint is straight and properly aligned. A small X-ray plate or digital detector will be placed behind your knee to capture the image. You will be asked to remain still for a few seconds while the X-ray is taken to ensure a clear picture.
The procedure is quick, completely painless, and typically takes less than 5 minutes. Only a minimal and safe dose of radiation is used to capture the internal structures of your knee, including the bones, joint space, and any signs of fracture, arthritis, or degeneration.
After the scan, you can immediately return to your normal routine—there is no downtime or recovery period needed. If you were asked to change into a gown, you can change back into your clothes right away.
The captured X-ray images will be reviewed and interpreted by our radiologist to identify any abnormalities such as fractures, joint misalignment, or early signs of osteoarthritis.
A detailed report will then be prepared and shared with your referring doctor or orthopaedician, who will discuss the findings with you and suggest appropriate treatment or follow-up if required.
There are some restrictions to who can get a knee AP view, and they are:
Patients with injuries to the site
Obese patients
Patients with medical conditions that can aggravate when exposed to x-ray radiation
The cost of knee AP view at Aarthi Scans and Labs starts at Rs. 550 only.
