Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    X-ray Chest

A Chest X-ray helps detect lung infections, heart enlargement, or rib fractures. The procedure takes around 5 minutes, and the report is ready within 6 hours. It costs ₹250–₹400, and radiation exposure is very low, making it safe even for repeated monitoring if prescribed.

    What is an X-ray Chest?

A chest x-ray is a non-invasive and painless imaging technique that displays the structure of the patient’s chest. Doctors use this type of x-ray to diagnose a variety of conditions affecting the chest and the structures around it.

It helps in examining the lungs, heart, airways, blood vessels, as well as the chest and spine bones. An x-ray beam passes through the chest of the patient and captured on a digital film. The chest x-ray is also helpful in identifying any respiratory problems, heart conditions, injuries, infections, and lung cancer.

When and why is an X-ray Chest done?

A Chest X-ray helps evaluate the lungs, heart, ribs, and diaphragm. It is used to identify respiratory infections, fractures, and cardiovascular abnormalities. Doctors often prescribe it for cough, shortness of breath, or post-surgery evaluation to monitor chest health.

What happens before an X-ray Chest?

Before your X-ray Chest, our radiographer will review your medical history and symptoms such as cough, chest discomfort, breathlessness, or fever. You will be asked to remove any metal objects including jewelry, chains, watches, or clothing with zippers and buttons, as these can interfere with the image quality.

If you are pregnant or think you might be, please inform the radiographer before the procedure so that proper safety measures can be taken or an alternative scan can be considered.

No fasting or special preparation is required for this test. You can eat, drink, and continue your usual medications. Wearing loose, comfortable clothing or a hospital gown helps ensure a quick and easy procedure.

What happens during an X-ray Chest?

During the test, you will be guided to the X-ray room and positioned either standing or sitting, depending on your comfort and the type of X-ray machine used. The radiographer will position you in front of the X-ray plate or detector to capture clear images of your lungs, heart, and surrounding structures.

You may be asked to take a deep breath and hold it for a few seconds while the X-ray is taken—this helps the lungs expand fully and improves image clarity.

The procedure is painless, safe, and very quick—usually completed in less than five minutes. Only a minimal and medically safe dose of radiation is used to produce accurate diagnostic images.

What happens after an X-ray Chest?

After the imaging, you can return to your regular routine right away. There are no side effects or recovery time associated with the procedure. If you were wearing a gown, you can change back into your clothes immediately.

The captured X-ray images will be reviewed by our radiologist to assess your lungs, airways, heart, and chest wall. The report will include findings such as infection, fluid buildup, lung collapse, or heart enlargement, if present.

A detailed report will be prepared and shared with your referring doctor, who will explain the results and recommend any further treatment or tests if required.

Who shouldn’t get an X-ray Chest?

    • There are some restrictions to who can get a Chest x-ray, and they are:
    • Patients with injuries to the chest
    • Obese patients
    • Patients with medical conditions that can aggravate when exposed to x-ray radiation
