Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    X-ray Cervical

An X-ray Cervical focuses on the neck vertebrae to assess posture issues, injuries, or degenerative changes. The scan takes 5–10 minutes, and the report is delivered within 6 hours. The cost ranges from ₹300–₹400, and the radiation exposure is minimal and safe.

    What is an X-ray Cervical?

A cervical x-ray refers to the medical imaging of the cervical spine (neck) under an X-ray beam. It is non-invasive, painless, and quick. A cervical x-ray helps healthcare professionals visualize the bones of the neck like the seven cervical vertebrae (C1 – C7), the first thoracic vertebra (T1), and the spaces between the vertebrae (intervertebral discs). Additionally, it also shows the surrounding soft tissues, like the muscles and ligaments.

The patient is laid on their back, and the neck is extended to position under the x-ray scanner. A cervical x-ray is used when a person experiences neck pain, arm pain, numbness, tingling, or weakness in arms and hands. It helps to identify fractures, dislocations, and signs of arthritis.

When and why is an X-ray Cervical done?

An X-ray Cervical scan focuses on the neck and upper spine to detect bone degeneration, fractures, alignment issues, or cervical spondylosis. It is recommended for chronic neck pain, stiffness, or injuries from whiplash and posture strain

What happens before an X-ray Cervical?

Before your X-ray Cervical scan, our radiographer will review your medical history and symptoms such as neck pain, stiffness, or injury. You will be asked to remove jewelry, spectacles, hairpins, or any clothing with zippers, buttons, or metal near the neck area, as these can interfere with image quality.

If you are pregnant or suspect pregnancy, please inform the radiographer before the scan so that proper safety precautions can be taken or an alternative imaging test can be considered.

No fasting or special preparation is required for this scan. You can eat, drink, and take your regular medications. Wearing loose, comfortable clothing or a hospital gown will make the procedure more convenient.

What happens during an X-ray Cervical?

During the scan, you will be guided to the X-ray room and positioned either standing or sitting depending on your comfort and the area to be examined. The radiographer will position your head and shoulders to align your cervical spine correctly.

X-ray images are typically taken in two standard positions — AP (anteroposterior) and lateral views — to provide a complete picture of your cervical spine. You may be asked to stay still and hold your breath for a few seconds while each image is captured.

The procedure is quick, completely painless, and typically completed in 5–10 minutes. A minimal and safe dose of radiation is used to capture detailed images of the bones, joints, and alignment of your neck.

What happens after an X-ray Cervical?

After the scan, you can immediately resume your regular activities. There are no side effects, discomfort, or downtime following the procedure. If you were asked to wear a gown, you can change back into your clothes right away.

The X-ray images will be reviewed by our radiologist to check for fractures, disc space narrowing, arthritis, or alignment issues.

A detailed report will be prepared and shared with your referring doctor or orthopaedician, who will review the findings with you and suggest further evaluation or treatment if required.

Who shouldn’t get an X-ray Cervical?

    • There are some restrictions to who can get a cervical x-ray, and they are:
    • Patients with injuries to the pelvic area
    • Obese patients
    • Patients with medical conditions that can aggravate when exposed to x-ray radiation
