Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    X-ray Abdomen

An X-ray Abdomen gives an overview of internal abdominal organs to detect stones, bowel blockages, or abnormal gas levels. The test takes 5–10 minutes, and the report is ready within 6 hours. The price is ₹300–₹400, and radiation exposure is kept to a very low, safe level.

    What is an X-ray Abdomen?

An abdominal x-ray refers to the medical imaging of the organs and structures of the belly area under an X-ray beam. It is non-invasive, painless, and quick. An abdominal x-ray helps healthcare professionals visualize the liver, spleen, stomach, intestines and the vertebrae of the lower spine. The patient is laid on their back on the X-ray table, and the abdomen area is positioned under the x-ray scanner.

A pelvic x-ray is used when a person experiences acute abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. It helps to diagnose perforation in the intestines and potential blockages. Even though the abdominal x-ray uses minimum radiation, pregnant women especially those in their first trimester are advised against it.

When and why is an X-ray Abdomen done?

An X-ray Abdomen helps assess abdominal organs including the stomach, intestines, and urinary system. It helps detect intestinal obstruction, kidney stones, and abnormal gas or fluid patterns. Doctors suggest it for persistent abdominal pain, bloating, or vomiting, offering a quick, non-invasive diagnosis.

What happens before an X-ray Abdomen?

Before your X-ray Abdomen scan, our radiographer will review your medical history and understand the reason for the test such as abdominal pain, swelling, constipation, or suspected obstruction. You will be asked to remove any metallic objects like belts, jewelry, or clothing with zippers and buttons, as these can interfere with the image.

In most cases, no special preparation is needed. However, if your doctor has requested a detailed abdominal study, you may be advised to avoid eating or drinking for a few hours before the scan to improve image clarity.

If you are pregnant or think you might be, please inform the radiographer before the procedure so that appropriate safety precautions can be taken, or an alternative imaging method can be considered.

Wearing loose, comfortable clothing or a hospital gown is recommended for your comfort during the procedure.

What happens during an X-ray Abdomen?

During the scan, you will be guided to the X-ray room and asked to lie flat on your back on the examination table. The radiographer will position your body carefully to ensure the entire abdomen is covered in the image. In some cases, additional views such as standing or side positions may be taken to get a clearer view of the intestines and organs.

A digital detector or X-ray plate will be placed beneath your back. You will be asked to stay still and hold your breath for a few seconds while the image is taken to avoid blurring.

The procedure is completely painless, quick, and usually completed in 5–10 minutes. Only a small and safe amount of radiation is used to capture detailed images of the stomach, intestines, liver, kidneys, and other abdominal structures.

What happens after an X-ray Abdomen?

After the scan, you can resume your regular routine immediately. There are no side effects or restrictions following the procedure. If you were asked to change into a gown, you can change back into your clothes right away.

The X-ray images will be analyzed by our radiologist to detect any abnormalities such as bowel obstruction, stones, abnormal gas patterns, or organ enlargement.

A detailed report will be prepared and shared with your referring doctor, who will discuss the findings with you and recommend further tests or treatment if needed.

Who shouldn’t get an X-ray Abdomen?

    • There are some restrictions to who can get an abdominal x-ray, and they are:
    • Patients with injuries to the site
    • Obese patients
    • Patients with medical conditions that can aggravate when exposed to x-ray radiation (including pregnancy)
