Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    Transvaginal Ultrasound Scan

A Transvaginal Ultrasound provides a close and clear view of the uterus, ovaries, and cervix. It takes around 15–20 minutes to perform, and the report is ready in 6 hours. The price is 1,600, and as it uses ultrasound waves—not radiation—it is entirely safe and painless.

What is a Transvaginal Ultrasound scan?

A transvaginal ultrasound is a painless but invasive method of imaging the internal structures and organs of the female pelvis. These include the cervix, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, and bladder. During a transvaginal ultrasound, a transducer is gently inserted into the vagina, where it sends high frequency sound waves that bounce off the structures and travels back. The transducer picks up electronic signals or echoes and sends them to the specialized machines attached to it.

This machine has a monitor that processes these signals into computer generated visuals. The sonographer can capture real-time images of the pelvic area and even keep them for record. These images can be sent to the healthcare provider who can diagnose potential issues. It helps to detect cysts, tumors, fibroids, polyps, pelvic infection, cancer, miscarriage, and infertility issues.

When and why is a Transvaginal Ultrasound scan done?

A Transvaginal Ultrasound is done to get a clear view of the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and pelvic region using a probe inserted into the vagina. It helps diagnose pelvic pain, irregular bleeding, infertility causes, or early pregnancy complications. Doctors recommend it for more detailed imaging than a standard abdominal scan, especially in early-stage pregnancies.

What happens before a Transvaginal Ultrasound scan?

Before your Transvaginal Ultrasound scan, our radiology team will explain the procedure and answer any questions you may have. This scan is typically recommended to evaluate the uterus, ovaries, cervix, and pelvic area in greater detail. You’ll be asked to empty your bladder before the scan to ensure better visualization of the pelvic organs. It’s advisable to wear comfortable clothing, as you’ll be asked to change into a medical gown. The sonographer will ensure you are completely at ease and that your privacy is maintained throughout the process.

What happens during a Transvaginal Ultrasound scan?

During the scan, you’ll be asked to lie down on the examination table, usually with your knees bent and feet supported. A thin, sterilized ultrasound probe (transducer) covered with a protective sheath and lubricating gel will be gently inserted a few centimeters into the vaginal canal. This allows for clear, high-resolution images of the pelvic organs since the probe is placed closer to them. The procedure is typically not painful, though you may feel slight pressure or mild discomfort. The sonographer will carefully move the probe to capture detailed images of your uterus, ovaries, fallopian tubes, endometrium, and surrounding tissues. The entire process usually takes 10–20 minutes.

What happens after a Transvaginal Ultrasound scan?

After the scan, the probe is removed and you’ll be provided with tissues or wipes to clean off any remaining gel. You can resume your normal activities immediately — no recovery time is needed. A specialist radiologist will review the captured images and prepare a detailed report of your pelvic findings. The report will then be shared with your referring doctor or gynecologist, who will discuss the results and suggest any further tests or treatments if required. This scan offers valuable insights into reproductive and pelvic health, helping your doctor make accurate and timely decisions about your care.

Who shouldn’t get a Transvaginal Ultrasound scan?

There are some situations that deter a transvaginal ultrasound, they are:

    • Pregnant women with ruptured membranes
    • Women with imperforate hymen
    • Presence of obstruction in the vaginal canal
    • Vaginal surgery
    • Vaginal atrophy
