Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    Pelvic Ultrasound Scan

A Pelvic Ultrasound is commonly performed to examine the uterus, ovaries, prostate, and bladder. The test takes 15–20 minutes, and the report is ready within 6 hours. Priced at ₹1,000–₹1,300, it is a safe, quick, and radiation-free scan suitable for both men and women.

What is a Pelvic Ultrasound scan?

A pelvic ultrasound is a non-invasive and painless way of imaging the structures and internal organs between the pelvis bone. These include the urinary bladder, colon, rectum, and the reproductive organs like uterus, vagina, ovaries, and fallopian tubes in females. In males the organs are testes, vas deferens, scrotum, and the penis.

A radiologist scans the pelvic area using a transducer that sends electronic signals to a specialized computer. High frequency radio waves are sent by the transducer to the pelvic region. They bounce off the organs and echo back to the handheld device. The ultrasound monitors processes those signals and generates real-time visuals of the internal structures. A pelvic ultrasound is helpful in the diagnosis of cancers, tumors, and cysts.

When and why is Pelvic Ultrasound scan done?

A Pelvis Ultrasound is done to examine the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and prostate (in men). It helps detect fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, or urinary issues. Doctors recommend it for pelvic pain, irregular menstruation, or fertility assessments, offering clear imaging of the lower abdomen.

What happens before a Pelvic Ultrasound scan?

Before your Pelvic Ultrasound scan, our sonography team will review your medical history, menstrual cycle details, and any ongoing symptoms such as pelvic pain, irregular bleeding, or fertility issues. You may be advised to drink plenty of water (4–6 glasses) and avoid urinating for about an hour before the test, as a full bladder helps improve image clarity. If a transvaginal ultrasound is part of the examination, you will be asked to empty your bladder before the scan instead. No special diet or fasting is required, and you should wear comfortable clothing to allow easy access to the pelvic area.

What happens during a Pelvic Ultrasound scan?

During the procedure, you’ll be asked to lie comfortably on your back on the examination table. A clear, water-based gel is applied to your lower abdomen to help sound waves travel between the ultrasound probe and your skin. The sonologist will gently move the probe over your abdomen to capture real-time images of the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and surrounding pelvic structures.

If a transvaginal scan is recommended for better visualization, a thin, covered, and lubricated probe is gently inserted into the vagina to get closer, clearer images of internal pelvic organs. This approach is safe, comfortable, and performed with full privacy and care. The entire procedure usually takes 20–30 minutes and is painless and radiation-free.

What happens after a Pelvic Ultrasound scan?

After the scan, the gel will be cleaned off, and you can resume your normal routine immediately. There are no side effects or restrictions. A specialist radiologist will analyze the ultrasound images and prepare a detailed report that may help diagnose fibroids, cysts, uterine abnormalities, or other pelvic conditions. The report will be shared with your referring doctor or gynecologist, who will discuss the findings and any next steps with you.

Who shouldn’t get a Pelvic Ultrasound scan?

A pelvic ultrasound is generally safe but there are some exceptions to who can get it:

    • People with severe obesity
    • Patients with too much bowel gas
    • Patient with urinary retention
    • Pregnant women
