Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    Obstetric Ultrasound Scan

An Obstetric Ultrasound monitors fetal growth and overall pregnancy health. The procedure takes 15–25 minutes, with the report available within 6 hours. It costs about ₹1,000–₹1,500, and since it uses sound waves, it is completely safe for both mother and baby.

What is an Obstetric Ultrasound scan?

An obstetric ultrasound is a non-invasive and painless way of imaging the developing fetus inside the mother’s womb. Additionally, it also helps in imaging the uterus, ovaries, placenta, amniotic fluid, and so on. A radiologist scans the abdominal area using a transducer that sends electronic signals to a specialized computer. High frequency radio waves are sent by the transducer, which bounces off the uterus and fetus and echoes back to the handheld device.

The ultrasound monitors processes those signals and generates real-time visuals of the internal structures. An obstetric ultrasound is helpful in confirming pregnancy, monitoring fetal development, gestational age of the fetus, fetal anomalies, placental position, amniotic fluid, fetal presentation, position, and multiple pregnancies.

When and why is an Obstetric Ultrasound scan done?

An Obstetric Ultrasound is performed during pregnancy to monitor the baby’s growth, heartbeat, and overall well-being. It helps assess fetal position, amniotic fluid, placenta, and multiple pregnancies. Doctors recommend it routinely throughout pregnancy to ensure healthy fetal development and maternal safety.

What happens before an Obstetric Ultrasound scan?

Before your Obstetric Ultrasound scan, our sonography team will confirm your pregnancy stage and clinical details to determine the type of scan required — early pregnancy, anomaly, or growth scan. You may be asked to drink water and keep your bladder moderately full before the test, especially in the early weeks of pregnancy, as a full bladder helps improve image clarity. In later stages, this is usually not necessary. No fasting or special preparation is required. You’ll be advised to wear comfortable, loose clothing and to bring along previous scan or blood test reports for accurate comparison and follow-up.

What happens during an Obstetric Ultrasound scan?

During the procedure, you’ll be asked to lie comfortably on your back on the examination table. A clear, water-based gel will be applied to your abdomen to help the ultrasound transducer make good contact with your skin. The sonologist will gently move the probe over your abdomen to visualize your baby’s position, heartbeat, growth, and surrounding structures such as the placenta and amniotic fluid.

In early pregnancy, a transvaginal ultrasound may be performed for a clearer view of the uterus and developing embryo; this is safe and well-tolerated. The scan is completely safe, non-invasive, and painless, and typically takes 15–30 minutes, depending on the stage of pregnancy and type of scan.

What happens after an Obstetric Ultrasound scan?

After the scan, the gel will be cleaned off, and you can resume your normal activities immediately. There are no side effects or restrictions. The sonologist or radiologist will review the captured images to evaluate your baby’s growth, wellbeing, and any structural details. A detailed report will be shared with your obstetrician or gynecologist, who will discuss the findings, provide guidance on your pregnancy’s progress, and recommend any necessary follow-up scans.

What happens after an Obstetric Ultrasound scan?

Pregnant women who cannot get an ultrasound are those who:

    • Are obese
    • Have an injury or scar that makes it difficult
    • Wrong fetal position
    • Too early in pregnancy

How much does an Obstetric Ultrasound scan cost at Aarthi Scans and Labs?
