Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    Abdominal Ultrasound Scan

An Abdominal Ultrasound captures clear images of organs such as the liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and kidneys. The scan takes 15–20 minutes, and the report is issued within 6 hours. The cost ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹2,500, and as it uses sound waves, there is no radiation risk involved.

    What is Abdominal Ultrasound scan?

An abdominal ultrasound is a non-invasive and painless way of imaging the structures and internal organs of the belly area. These include the liver, gall bladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, urinary bladder, abdominal aorta, and abdominal blood vessels. A radiologist scans the abdominal area using a transducer that sends electronic signals to a specialized computer.

High frequency radio waves are sent by the transducer which bounce off the organs and echo back to the handheld device. The ultrasound monitors processes those signals and generates real-time visuals of the internal structures. An abdominal ultrasound is helpful in the diagnosis of gallstones, kidney stones, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and pancreatic issues.

When and why is an Abdominal Ultrasound scan done?

An Abdominal Ultrasound helps evaluate organs such as the liver, gallbladder, spleen, pancreas, and kidneys. It’s recommended for abdominal pain, bloating, jaundice, or suspected organ diseases. This scan helps detect gallstones, liver disease, or fluid accumulation and is a key tool for early diagnosis of digestive and urinary conditions.

What happens before an Abdominal Ultrasound scan?

Before your Abdominal Ultrasound scan, our sonography team will review your medical history and any relevant symptoms, such as abdominal pain, bloating, or liver and kidney issues. To ensure clear images, you’ll typically be asked to fast for 6–8 hours before the scan; this reduces gas in the stomach and intestines that can interfere with sound waves. You can drink small sips of water if needed but should avoid food, milk, and carbonated drinks. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, and you may be asked to change into a gown at the center. Bring along any previous scan reports for comparison.

What happens during an Abdominal Ultrasound scan?

During the scan, you’ll be asked to lie comfortably on your back on the examination table. A clear, water-based gel will be applied to your abdomen to help the ultrasound probe glide smoothly and capture accurate images. The sonologist will gently move the transducer across different parts of your abdomen to visualize organs such as the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, spleen, and bladder.

You may be asked to hold your breath or change position slightly to improve visibility of certain organs. The procedure is non-invasive, painless, and usually takes 15–30 minutes.

What happens after an Abdominal Ultrasound scan?

After the scan, the gel will be wiped off, and you can return to your normal routine immediately. There are no side effects or restrictions after the procedure. The captured images are analyzed by a specialist radiologist, who prepares a detailed report evaluating the size, shape, and condition of your abdominal organs. The report is then shared with your referring doctor, who will review the findings and recommend further evaluation or treatment if necessary.

Who shouldn’t get an Abdominal Ultrasound scan?

Individuals with the following health conditions are restricted from an abdominal ultrasound:

    • Are obese and have excess fat around the abdomen
    • Have gas
    • Has had Barium x-ray or procedures

How much does an Abdominal Ultrasound cost at Aarthi Scans and Labs?
