At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.
Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI Scan, CT Scan, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.
Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.
At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.
We achieve this through:

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

An Ultrasound Colour Doppler assesses blood flow in arteries and veins, helping detect clots, blockages, or circulation issues. The scan duration is 20–30 minutes, and the report is provided within 6 hours. The cost is ₹1,800–₹2,500, and it is a non-invasive, radiation-free procedure.
An ultrasound color doppler scan refers to the non-invasive and painless technique of medical imaging of the blood vessels. It uses high frequency sound waves from the transducer that bounce off the blood vessels and returns to the handheld device. The transducer collects these echoes and sends them to a computer.
This specialized computer processes and generates images in real-time that help the radiologist to find out vital information about the flow of blood. What makes a color Doppler scan different from a regular ultrasound is that a traditional ultrasound is only able to provide Black and White images of the organs. But a color Doppler is also able to show blood flow to and from the organs in color.
An Ultrasound Colour Doppler is used to measure blood flow through arteries and veins. It helps detect narrowing, blockages, or clots in blood vessels and evaluate organ perfusion. Doctors recommend it for varicose veins, leg pain, or vascular disorders, and it is also commonly used in pregnancy to monitor placental blood flow.
Before your Color Doppler scan, our radiology team will review your medical history and doctor’s referral to understand the area being examined such as the legs, arms, neck, or abdomen. You may be asked to avoid smoking or consuming caffeine for a few hours before the scan, as these can affect blood flow and alter results. If an abdominal Doppler is planned, you might be advised to fast for 6–8 hours to reduce gas and improve image clarity. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing, and remove any jewelry or accessories before the scan.
During the procedure, you’ll be asked to lie comfortably on the examination table while a water-based gel is applied to the area being examined. This gel helps sound waves travel between the transducer (a handheld probe) and your body. The technologist or radiologist will gently move the transducer across your skin to assess blood flow through arteries and veins.
The Color Doppler feature displays real-time images in color, showing the direction and speed of blood flow, helping detect blockages, clots, narrowing, or poor circulation. You might hear a whooshing sound; this represents your blood flow and is completely normal. The scan is non-invasive, painless, and typically takes 20–45 minutes, depending on the region being examined.
After the scan, the gel will be wiped off, and you can resume your regular activities immediately. There are no side effects or recovery time. A specialist radiologist will analyze the images and blood flow patterns, preparing a detailed report highlighting any abnormalities in circulation or vessel structure. Your referring doctor will then review the report and discuss the findings with you, along with any further evaluation or treatment if required.
An Ultrasound Color Doppler scan is safe for most people out there. However, there are some circumstances that make this scan invalid or difficult to perform like:
An ultrasound color Doppler scan at Aarthi Scans and Labs costs Rs. 1500.
| Ultrasound color Doppler scan type | What does it detect? |
|---|---|
| Color Doppler | Vascular diseases, Heart conditions, Obstetrics, renal artery stenosis, hepatic portal vein |
| Spectral Doppler | Stenosis, blockage, vascular injuries, blood clots, organ perfusion, hypertension, tumors |
| Power Doppler | Inflammation, tumors, Ischemia |
| Duplex Doppler | Abnormalities in blood flow, thrombosis, aneurysms |
