Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan

A CT Peripheral Angiogram captures detailed images of the arteries in the arms or legs to detect blockages or narrowing. The scan lasts 20–25 minutes, with a 6-hour report turnaround. The price is ₹6,000, and the radiation exposure is moderate but maintained within safety guidelines.

What is a CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan?

A CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan also known as CAT scan or computed tomography image is the medical imaging of the arteries in the limbs. A combination of X-rays and a specialized CT console creates and processes clear images of the arteries. For visualization purposes, a contrast dye is injected into the patient’s vein that travels to the arteries and enhances those that are in the legs, feet, arms, and hands.

This scan aids diagnostic accuracy by providing a cross-sectional view of the peripheral arteries in thin slices. These slices make medical assessment easier, convenient, and effective in tracking subtle abnormalities. A CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan is far more advanced than a conventional x-ray and detects blocked and narrowed arteries as well as blood clots in the peripheral regions.

When and why is a CT Peripheral Angiogram scan?

A CT Peripheral Angiogram is performed to assess blood flow in the arteries of the arms, legs, or other extremities. It helps detect narrowing, blockages, aneurysms, or vascular diseases. This scan is often advised for patients with leg pain while walking (claudication), cold limbs, or diabetic vascular complications, helping plan surgical or stent procedures.

What happens before a CT Peripheral Angiogram scan?

Before your CT Peripheral Angiogram, our radiology team will take a detailed medical history to ensure the procedure is safe and effective for you. You’ll be asked about any allergies, especially to contrast dye or iodine, and about medications you’re taking, such as those for diabetes or blood pressure. Since this scan involves the use of contrast dye, you may be required to fast for 4–6 hours prior to the test. Before entering the scan room, you’ll be asked to remove all metallic objects, such as jewelry, watches, or belts. Our technologist will explain the steps of the procedure, check your comfort level, and answer any questions you may have before starting the scan.

What happens during a CT Peripheral Angiogram scan?

During the scan, you’ll be asked to lie on a CT scanning table that slides slowly through a large, circular scanner. A small intravenous (IV) line will be placed in your arm to administer a contrast dye that enhances the visibility of your blood vessels. When the dye is injected, you may feel a brief warm sensation or metallic taste — this is normal and subsides quickly. The scanner will then capture detailed images of the arteries and veins in your arms, legs, or other peripheral areas, depending on the region being examined. You’ll need to remain still during the process, and in some cases, may be asked to hold your breath for a few seconds to ensure precise imaging. The procedure is painless and usually completed within 15–20 minutes. Throughout the scan, the technologist will monitor you closely and communicate with you for any guidance.

What happens after a CT Peripheral Angiogram scan?

Once the scan is complete, you can generally return to your regular activities unless otherwise instructed. If contrast dye was used, you’ll be encouraged to drink plenty of water to help your kidneys flush it from your body. Most people experience no side effects, though mild warmth or slight bruising at the injection site can occur temporarily. The images obtained will be carefully reviewed by a specialist radiologist, who will analyze your vascular structures for narrowing, blockages, or abnormal formations. A detailed report will be sent to your referring doctor, who will discuss the results and any next steps in your treatment plan.

Who shouldn’t get a CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan?

Individuals with the following conditions can avoid getting a CT Peripheral Angiogram scan:

    • Has an allergy to the contrast material
    • Have bleeding disorders
    • Unable to stay still for a long period of time
    • Pregnant women
    • Patients with metallic implants
    • Patients with kidney ailments
    • Have extreme claustrophobia
    • Are obese and overweight

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.

    Frequently Asked Questions

The side effects of CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan include bruising, bleeding, tenderness at the site where the artery was entered, injury or damage to the artery where the thin catheter was inserted. It also has risks associated with blood clots, allergic reaction to the dye which manifests itself as itching, rash, or other allergic reaction like breathing problems.

During a CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan, the patient lays down on the exam table or x-ray table. It is an invasive procedure wherein the doctor numbs the groin area or arm to make a tiny incision. Then they will push a rubber sheath into the blood vessel followed by a catheter. Once the catheter is inside, they will inject contrast dye and take pictures of the blood vessel. After clear pictures are taken, they will remove both the catheter and the rubber sheath. Additionally, they will put pressure on the incision to stop bleeding and observe for any complication before sending you home.

The cost of a CT Peripheral Angiogram scan at Aarthi Scans and Labs starts at Rs. 6000 during the day and night.

CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan can take 30 minutes to 60 minutes including the prep.

The CT Peripheral Angiogram Scan procedure is painless as a numbing medicine is applied before making a tiny incision in the groin or arm. Patients may feel a sharp sting when the IV is injected.
