Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CT Neck Scan

A CT Neck scan helps evaluate lymph nodes, thyroid glands, or soft-tissue swelling in the neck region. The procedure takes 10–15 minutes, and the report is ready in 6 hours. It costs around ₹2,000, and though it involves low to moderate radiation, safety standards ensure minimal exposure.

What is a CT Neck scan?

A CT neck scan, also known as a CAT scan or computed tomography image, is the medical imaging of the structures of the neck. A combination of X-rays and a specialized CT console creates and processes clear images of the internal structures of the neck. These include bones, muscles, blood vessels, and soft tissues.

A CT scan aids diagnostic accuracy by providing a cross-sectional view of the neck in thin slices created by the computer. These slices make medical assessment easier, convenient, and effective in tracking subtle abnormalities within the structures. A CT scan is far more advanced than a conventional x-ray and detects fractures, tumors, infections, vascular abnormalities, and dislocations.

When and why is a CT Neck scan done?

A CT Neck scan is used to evaluate the throat, lymph nodes, thyroid, salivary glands, and soft tissues of the neck. It helps detect tumours, infections, abscesses, and structural abnormalities. Doctors recommend it for neck swelling, persistent sore throat, or voice changes, and to stage head and neck cancers accurately.

What happens before a CT Neck scan?

Before your CT Neck scan, our radiology team will take a brief medical history to understand your symptoms, prior surgeries, and any medical conditions that may affect the scan. If your doctor has recommended a contrast-enhanced CT scan, you’ll be asked about allergies to iodine-based contrast dye and any kidney-related conditions, as these can affect how your body processes the dye. A short fasting period of 4–6 hours may be required in such cases. You’ll also need to remove any jewelry, chains, hearing aids, or metal accessories from your neck and upper chest, as they can interfere with the imaging process. Our technologist will explain each step and ensure you are positioned comfortably before starting the scan.

What happens during a CT Neck scan?

During the procedure, you’ll lie on a motorized CT table that slides into the scanner, a circular, open-ended machine. The technologist will position your head and neck to ensure the target area is captured accurately. If a contrast dye is required, it will be administered through a small intravenous (IV) line in your arm to help visualize soft tissues, blood vessels, lymph nodes, and glands in greater detail. You may feel a brief warm sensation or metallic taste when the contrast is injected which is completely normal and fades quickly. The scanner will rotate around your head and neck, capturing high-resolution cross-sectional images within seconds. You’ll be asked to stay still and occasionally hold your breath for a few seconds to ensure clear images. The entire process is quick, painless, and usually takes 10–15 minutes.

What happens after a CT Neck scan?

After the scan, you can resume normal activities immediately, unless you were advised otherwise by your doctor. If contrast dye was used, you’ll be encouraged to drink plenty of fluids for the next 24 hours to help your kidneys flush it out naturally. Any mild effects from the dye, such as a warm feeling or slight bruising at the injection site, typically subside within a few hours. A specialist radiologist will carefully review your images to detect any abnormal growths, infections, vascular issues, or glandular problems in the neck region. A detailed report will then be sent to your referring doctor, who will discuss the results and recommend further treatment or follow-up if necessary.

Who shouldn’t get a CT Neck scan?

Individuals with the following conditions can avoid getting a CT neck scan:

    • Overweight and obese
    • Pregnant women
    • Patients with metallic implants
    • Heart patients
    • Have extreme claustrophobia

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.
