Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CT Joints Scan

A CT Joints scan helps visualize bones and joint structures in high detail to detect fractures, dislocations, or arthritis-related changes. The procedure takes about 10–15 minutes, and the report is ready within 6 hours. The cost ranges from ₹2,500 to ₹3,000, and the radiation exposure is minimal and within safe diagnostic limits.

What is a CT Joints scan?

A CT scan for joints, also known as a CAT scan or computed tomography image, is the medical imaging of the various joints within the body. A combination of X-rays and a specialized CT console creates and processes clear images of the joints. These include the knees, hips, shoulder, ball and socket, hinge, pivot, saddle, condyloid, and gliding.

A CT scan aids diagnostic accuracy by providing a cross-sectional view of the joints in thin slices. These slices make medical assessment easier, convenient, and effective in tracking subtle abnormalities within these structures. A CT scan is far more advanced than a conventional x-ray and detects fractures, tumors, arthritis, infections, loose bodies, and misalignment.

When and why is a CT Joints scan done?

A CT Joints scan is performed to evaluate joint injuries, fractures, arthritis, or bone deformities. It provides detailed cross-sectional images of the shoulder, knee, hip, or wrist joints, helping doctors assess bone alignment, cartilage wear, and post-surgical healing. This scan is often used when X-rays are not sufficient to identify subtle joint damage.

What happens before a CT Joints scan?

Before your CT Joints scan, our radiology team will review your medical history, symptoms, and any prior injuries or surgeries related to the joint being examined. You’ll be asked to remove jewelry, watches, or metallic accessories near the scan area, as metal can interfere with image quality. Generally, no fasting or special preparation is required for a CT Joints scan unless your doctor advises otherwise. If the scan involves the use of contrast dye (to assess joint inflammation or vascular structures), you may need to inform the staff about any allergies to contrast agents or existing kidney conditions. The technologist will explain the entire process and position you comfortably before beginning the scan.

What happens during a CT Joints scan?

During the procedure, you’ll lie on a motorized CT scan table that moves slowly through the circular opening of the scanner. The technologist will ensure the affected joint (such as knee, shoulder, hip, or wrist) is properly positioned for accurate imaging. If a contrast dye is required, it will be injected through a small IV line in your arm to help visualize soft tissues, cartilage, and surrounding blood vessels in greater detail. As the scanner rotates, it captures high-resolution cross-sectional images of the joint from multiple angles. You may hear mild clicking or whirring sounds, but the process is painless and quick, usually taking about 10–15 minutes. You’ll be asked to remain still during the scan to ensure clear and precise images.

What happens after a CT Joints scan?

After the scan, you can resume normal activities immediately unless you were given a contrast dye, in which case you’ll be advised to drink plenty of fluids to help flush it out. You might experience a slight warm sensation or metallic taste briefly if contrast was used, this is completely normal and fades quickly. A specialist radiologist will carefully analyze the CT images to identify fractures, joint damage, degeneration, inflammation, or abnormalities. A detailed report will then be shared with your referring doctor, who will discuss the results with you and plan the appropriate treatment or next steps.

Who shouldn’t get a CT Joints scan?

Individuals with the following conditions can avoid getting a CT scan for joints:

    • Has an allergy to the contrast material (if contrast agent is used)
    • Have bleeding disorders (if contrast agent is used)
    • Unable to stay still for a long period of time
    • Pregnant women
    • Patients with metallic implants
    • Patients with kidney ailments (if contrast dye is used)
    • Have extreme claustrophobia

How much does a CT Joints scan cost at Aarthi Scans and Labs?

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.
