Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CT Brain Scan

A CT Brain scan is commonly used to detect bleeding, stroke, or head injuries. The scan itself takes only 5–10 minutes, and the report is provided within 6 hours. The cost ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹1,650, and it involves minimal radiation exposure, making it a safe and fast diagnostic option.

What is a CT Brain scan?

A CT scan for the brain, also known as a CAT scan or computed tomography image, is the medical imaging of the structure of the brain. A combination of X-rays and a specialized CT console creates and processes clear images of the insides of the brain. These include the skull, brain, eye sockets, and the sinuses.

A CT scan aids diagnostic accuracy by providing a cross-sectional view of the brain in thin slices generated by the computer. These slices make medical assessment easier, convenient, and effective in tracking subtle abnormalities within the structures. A CT scan is far more advanced than a conventional x-ray and detects fractures, tumors, infections, bleeding and swelling.

When and why is a CT Brain scan done?

A CT Brain scan is recommended to evaluate headaches, seizures, dizziness, head injuries, or stroke symptoms. It helps detect bleeding, brain tumours, swelling, skull fractures, or blood vessel abnormalities. This scan is often the first choice in emergencies because it delivers quick and accurate results.

What happens before a CT Brain scan?

Before your CT Brain scan, our radiology team will review your medical history, current medications, and any previous neurological symptoms or surgeries. If your doctor has recommended a contrast-enhanced CT Brain scan, you may be asked about allergies to iodine-based contrast dye and any kidney-related conditions, as these can affect the safe use of contrast. In such cases, a brief fasting period of 4–6 hours may be required. You’ll also be asked to remove any metal objects, such as jewelry, glasses, or hairpins, as they can interfere with image quality. Our technologist will explain the entire process, ensure you’re comfortable, and position you correctly on the CT table before the scan begins.

What happens during a CT Brain scan?

During the procedure, you’ll lie on a motorized CT table that moves through the circular opening of the scanner. The technologist will position your head comfortably and may use a soft strap or cushion to help keep it still during the scan. If your scan includes contrast, a small intravenous (IV) line will be placed in your arm to inject the contrast dye, which helps highlight blood vessels, brain tissues, and potential abnormalities more clearly. You may briefly feel a warm sensation or metallic taste when the dye is administered which is completely normal and fades quickly. The scanner will rotate around your head, capturing high-resolution cross-sectional images within seconds. You’ll be asked to stay still and occasionally hold your breath to ensure sharp images. The scan is quick, painless, and typically completed in 10–15 minutes.

What happens after a CT Brain scan?

After the scan, you can resume your regular activities immediately, unless instructed otherwise. If contrast dye was used, you’ll be advised to drink plenty of fluids over the next 24 hours to help flush it out of your body. Most people feel completely normal after the scan, though mild bruising at the injection site or a fleeting warm sensation may occur. A specialist radiologist will carefully review the images to assess for bleeding, tumors, stroke, structural abnormalities, or other brain conditions. A detailed report will then be sent to your referring doctor, who will explain the results and guide you on the next steps for diagnosis or treatment.

Who shouldn’t get a CT Brain scan?

Individuals with the following conditions can avoid getting a CT brain scan:

    • Overweight and obese
    • Pregnant women
    • Patients with metallic implants
    • Heart patients
    • Have extreme claustrophobia

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.
