Before your CT Brain scan, our radiology team will review your medical history, current medications, and any previous neurological symptoms or surgeries. After the scan, you can resume your regular activities immediately, unless instructed otherwise. If contrast dye was used, you’ll be advised to drink plenty of fluids over the next 24 hours to help flush it out of your body. Most people feel completely normal after the scan, though mild bruising at the injection site or a fleeting warm sensation may occur. A specialist radiologist will carefully review the images to assess for bleeding, tumors, stroke, structural abnormalities, or other brain conditions.
