Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CT Abdomen Scan

A CT Abdomen scan provides a detailed view of abdominal organs like the liver, pancreas, and intestines to detect infections, tumours, or internal injuries. The scan lasts 15–20 minutes, and the report is delivered in 6 hours. The cost is ₹2,750 to ₹3,500, with moderate but safe radiation levels used to ensure high-quality images.

What is a CT Abdomen scan?

An abdomen CT scan, also known as a CAT scan or computed tomography image, is the medical imaging of the stomach area. A combination of X-rays and a specialized CT console creates and processes clear images of the internal structures of the belly. These include the liver, spleen, kidneys, pancreas, gallbladder, intestines, and blood vessels.

A CT scan aids diagnostic accuracy by providing a cross-sectional view of the abdomen’s internal structures in thin slices. These slices make medical assessment easier, convenient, and effective in tracking subtle abnormalities within the structures. A CT scan is far more advanced than a conventional x-ray and detects abdominal pain, tumors, cancers, internal injuries, infections, and organ damage.

When and why is a CT Abdomen scan done?

A CT Abdomen scan is recommended to examine abdominal organs such as the liver, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and intestines. It helps detect tumours, infections, inflammation, and internal bleeding. This scan is often used for patients with severe abdominal pain, trauma, or suspected cancers, providing a comprehensive view of internal structures.

What happens before a CT Abdomen scan?

Before your CT Abdomen scan, our medical team will review your medical history and any ongoing medications to ensure the procedure is safe for you. You’ll be asked about allergies, kidney conditions, or prior reactions to contrast dye, as some CT scans use a contrast agent to enhance image clarity. If contrast is required, you may be advised to avoid eating or drinking for 4–6 hours before the scan. Please remove all metallic items such as jewelry, belts, or watches before entering the scan room. Our technologist will explain the entire process in advance and make sure you’re comfortable before the scan begins.

What happens during a CT Abdomen scan?

During the procedure, you’ll lie comfortably on a motorized table that moves through the CT scanner — a short, tunnel-like machine. The technologist will position you so that your abdomen is in the center of the scanner. Depending on the type of scan, you may be given a contrast dye either orally, through an injection in your arm, or both. This dye helps highlight blood vessels and internal organs such as the liver, pancreas, kidneys, intestines, and spleen for clearer imaging. The scanner rotates around you while capturing multiple cross-sectional images, which are then combined into detailed 3D views of your abdominal structures. The procedure is painless and quick, typically lasting 10–20 minutes. You may be asked to briefly hold your breath at times to reduce motion blur.

What happens after a CT Abdomen scan?

After the scan, you can usually return to your normal routine right away. If contrast dye was used, you’ll be encouraged to drink plenty of water to help flush it from your body. Mild side effects like a brief warm sensation or metallic taste may occur but typically subside within minutes. A radiologist will carefully analyze your abdominal images and prepare a detailed report, which will be shared with your referring doctor. Your doctor will then review the results with you and advise on the next steps for diagnosis or treatment if needed.

Who shouldn’t get a CT Abdomen scan?

Individuals with the following conditions can avoid getting an abdominal CT scan:

    • Overweight and obese
    • Pregnant women
    • Patients with metallic implants
    • Heart patients
    • Have extreme claustrophobia

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.
