Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CBCT

A CBCT scan offers 3D imaging of the teeth, jaw, sinuses, and facial bones, providing precise details needed for implants, orthodontics, and maxillofacial treatments. The procedure takes about 10–20 minutes, and the report is available within 6 hours. The price ranges from ₹2,500 to ₹3,500 depending on the area scanned, and the radiation exposure is low to moderate, significantly lower than conventional CT, while still delivering high-accuracy images.

    What is CBCT?

CBCT stands for Cone-Beam Computed Tomography. It is a miniature version of the CT scan and captures images of the mouth, jawbone, head, and neck. CBCT captures images in three dimensions using a cone beam and exposes patients to lower doses of radiation.

When and why a CBCT scan is done?

A CBCT scan is performed to obtain 3D images of teeth, jaws, and facial bones with exceptional accuracy. It helps in implant planning, root canal assessment, TMJ evaluation, and detecting cysts or bone defects. Dentists and oral surgeons recommend CBCT for complex dental treatments and surgical planning, as it provides a clear, detailed view of bone density, nerve pathways, and surrounding tissues ensuring precision and safety in dental care.

What happens before a CBCT scan?

Before your CBCT scan, our radiographer will review your dental and medical history and explain the purpose of the scan such as assessing bone structure, planning dental implants, or evaluating sinus and jaw conditions. You will be asked to remove any metallic objects, including jewelry, spectacles, hairpins, dentures, or hearing aids, as these can interfere with image clarity. No fasting or special preparation is required for CBCT. You can eat, drink, and take your regular medications as usual. The procedure is safe and suitable for most patients. However, if you are pregnant or think you might be, please inform the radiographer before the scan so that appropriate precautions can be taken.

What happens during a CBCT scan?

During the scan, you will be positioned comfortably in the CBCT machine either sitting or standing, depending on the equipment used. Your head will be gently stabilized with supports to ensure accurate positioning. You will be asked to stay completely still while the CBCT machine rotates around your head, capturing hundreds of images from different angles. These images are then reconstructed into detailed 3D views of your teeth, jawbone, sinuses, and facial structures. The scan is completely painless, quick, and typically takes less than 5 minutes. CBCT uses a focused cone-shaped X-ray beam that delivers a much lower radiation dose compared to traditional CT scans, while providing superior detail for dental and maxillofacial evaluation.

What happens after a CBCT scan?

After the scan, you can resume your normal routine immediately. There are no side effects or recovery time associated with the procedure. The 3D images will be reviewed by our radiologist or dental specialist to assess bone quality, tooth alignment, nerve pathways, or any underlying pathology.A detailed digital report, along with the 3D images, will be shared with your referring dentist or oral surgeon, who will discuss the findings and use them for precise treatment planning, such as implants, orthodontic alignment, or jaw surgery.

Who shouldn’t get a CBCT scan?

    • Pregnant women due to higher radiation exposure compared to standard dental X-rays
    • Individuals undergoing radiation therapy where additional exposure is not recommended
    • Patients with uncontrolled movement disorders
    • Very young children unless absolutely essential, due to radiation sensitivity
    • People with metal implants, braces, or dental prosthetics that cause major image distortion
    • Individuals with severe claustrophobia

What is the price of CBCT at Aarthi Scans and Labs?

Cost of CBCT at Aarthi Scans and Labs starts at Rs. 2,500.

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.

    Frequently Asked Questions

OPG stands for Orthopantomogram and CBCT stands for Cone Beam Computer Tomography scan. OPG is used to take a dental panoramic X-ray of the upper and lower jaw to get a better view of the jaws. Some uses of OPG are checking for infections in the teeth, cysts, tumors, and wisdom teeth. CBCT is used to get a 3D image of the teeth and jaws. Using this technology doctors can get a clear view of the patient’s maxillofacial structures. It is primarily used in dentistry for various treatments like lesions, tumors, treatment of root canal issues, and surgery.

At Aarthi Scans & Labs, the price of an OPG starts at 400/- and a CBCT starts at 2500/-.

There are no specific diets or instructions for eating before an OPG and CBCT scan as both of them are dental scans. If you are coming for either of these scans, you can have your meal unless your doctor has instructed otherwise.

Both OPG and CBCT are dental scans that emit very little radiation which is 0.014 mSv and 50 mSv. OPG scan is relatively safer than CBCT.

An OPG scan typically detects issues with the teeth and jaw like cavities, decay, gum diseases, cysts, tumors, teeth alignment, and infections.

A CBCT scan is quite similar to an OPG scan in the sense that it is also a dental X-ray scan but slightly more detailed. It is necessary before surgery, root canals, extractions and other issues related to the teeth.
