Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    X-ray

An X-ray is one of the most common and quick imaging tests, widely used for examining bones, lungs, and injuries. The scan itself takes just 5 to 10 minutes, and the report is available within 6 hours. X-rays are very affordable, generally costing between ₹275 and ₹550. The test involves low-dose radiation exposure, which is minimal and considered safe for routine use.

    What is an X-ray?

An X-ray is a fast, painless imaging test that uses a small amount of radiation to capture images of the inside of the body. It helps doctors examine bones, lungs, and certain organs to detect fractures, infections, blockages, or abnormalities. X-rays support quick and accurate diagnosis. The procedure takes only a few minutes, requires minimal preparation, and uses controlled radiation levels to ensure patient safety while providing clear diagnostic insights.

When and why is an X-ray done?

An X-ray is usually done to evaluate bone fractures, joint dislocations, chest infections, or digestive tract issues. It helps detect pneumonia, arthritis, dental problems, and abdominal blockages. X-rays are quick, painless, and often the first imaging test to diagnose injuries or internal abnormalities.

    What happens before an X-ray?

Before your X-ray, our staff will explain the process and check if you have any medical conditions, implants, or possibility of pregnancy that may affect the procedure. You may be asked to change into a gown and remove jewelry, eyeglasses, or metallic items, as these can interfere with the images. In some cases, a contrast dye may be used to highlight certain areas of the body, which will be explained to you in advance.

    What happens during an X-ray?

During the scan, you will be positioned carefully by a technologist, either standing, sitting, or lying down, depending on the body part being examined. The X-ray machine will then direct a small, safe dose of radiation to capture images of your bones and internal organs. You may be asked to hold still or briefly hold your breath to ensure clear images. The procedure is quick, painless, and usually takes only a few minutes.

    What happens after an X-ray?

Once the scan is complete, you can return to your normal activities right away. If contrast dye was used, you may be advised to drink extra fluids to help your body flush it out. Our radiologist will review the images in detail and prepare a report, which will be shared with your doctor. Reports are generally available within a few hours. Your doctor will then discuss the findings with you and guide you on next steps if needed.

    Who shouldn't get an X-ray?

    • Pregnant individuals
    • Children
    • Individuals with specific medical conditions

    Frequently Asked Questions

The cost of an X-ray for the chest starts at 250/- rupees and goes up to 500/- rupees for the wrist. Prices may vary based on their location and complexity of the scan. Thus, it is better to confirm with the centre about their prices before scheduling an appointment.

An X-ray scan takes only a few minutes to get the body part imaged. However, your appointment may take 15-20 minutes from preparing the lab technician positioning the part to be scanned correctly.

No, getting an X-ray is completely painless. During the scan, the X-ray machine emits radiation that passes through your body placed underneath for scan, but you will not feel anything. However, you may experience discomfort and pain from positioning your body in a certain way instructed by the lab technician. This could arise when a patient has a fracture, pain, surgery or a pre-existing condition that makes it difficult to hold a particular position.

An x-ray is helpful in detecting any problems relating to the skeletal system, fractures, and injuries in the bone, dental problems, and tumors.

X-rays are safe for people of all ages, starting from toddlers to the elderly. The radiation that is emitted during an x-ray scan is very less and therefore it is safe.
