Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CT Pelvis Scan

A CT Pelvis scan provides detailed cross-sectional images of the pelvic bones and organs to identify injuries, infections, or tumours. It takes around 10–15 minutes, with the report available in 6 hours. The price is ₹2,000, and while it involves moderate radiation, the exposure is kept safely controlled.

What is a CT Pelvis scan?

A CT scan for the pelvis, also known as a CAT scan or computed tomography image, is the medical imaging of the pelvic region of the body. A combination of X-rays and a specialized CT console creates and processes clear images of the various internal organs of the pelvis. These include the bones of the pelvis, the bottom part of the intestines, which are the rectum and colon, the urinal bladder, as well as the male and female reproductive organs.

A CT scan aids diagnostic accuracy by providing a cross-sectional view of the pelvis in thin slices generated by the computer. These slices make medical assessment easier, convenient, and effective in tracking subtle abnormalities within these structures. A CT scan is far more advanced than a conventional x-ray and detects trauma, injuries, infections, inflammatory diseases, tumors and masses, endometriosis, and prostrate problems.

When and why is a CT Pelvis scan done?

A CT Pelvis scan is recommended to examine pelvic bones, muscles, blood vessels, and reproductive organs. It helps detect fractures, tumours, infections, and internal bleeding following trauma or surgery. Doctors often use this scan to investigate pelvic pain, urinary tract issues, or suspected cancers in the lower abdomen.

What happens before a CT Pelvis scan?

Before your CT Pelvis scan, our radiology team will review your medical history, symptoms, and any prior surgeries or allergies. If your doctor has ordered the scan with contrast dye, you may be asked about any allergies to iodine-based contrast agents and your kidney function may be assessed with a simple blood test. In such cases, you’ll likely need to fast for 4–6 hours before the scan. You will also be asked to remove any jewelry, belts, or metal objects from the waist and pelvic region, as these can interfere with imaging. Our technologist will explain the entire process, ensure you’re comfortable, and answer any questions before beginning the scan.

What happens during a CT Pelvis scan?

During the procedure, you’ll lie flat on a motorized CT table that moves through the circular opening of the scanner. The technologist will position you carefully to focus on the pelvic area, ensuring optimal image quality. If your scan requires contrast, a small intravenous (IV) line will be inserted in your arm to administer the dye, which helps visualize organs, blood vessels, and soft tissues more clearly. When the dye is injected, you might feel a brief warm sensation or metallic taste, which fades within seconds. The scanner will rotate around your lower abdomen and pelvis, capturing high-resolution cross-sectional images within minutes. You’ll be asked to stay still and occasionally hold your breath for a few seconds to prevent motion blur. The procedure is quick, painless, and typically takes 10–15 minutes.

What happens after a CT Pelvis scan?

After your scan, you can return to your normal routine immediately. If contrast dye was used, you’ll be encouraged to drink plenty of fluids over the next 24 hours to help flush it out of your system. You may experience a slight warm feeling or minor bruising at the injection site, which subsides quickly. A specialist radiologist will carefully analyze the images to assess your pelvic bones, bladder, reproductive organs, blood vessels, and surrounding tissues for any abnormalities. A detailed report will then be sent to your referring doctor, who will discuss the findings with you and recommend the next steps in your care.

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.
