Why does Aarthi Scans & Labs offer services at low prices?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, we strongly believe that the cost of diagnosing a disease should never push a patient into financial hardship or make their treatment unaffordable. Unfortunately, the high cost of diagnostic services across the country often leads to delayed diagnoses, unaffordable tests, and limited access to advanced facilities leaving millions vulnerable.

Our vision is simple yet powerful; no one should suffer because a diagnosis is out of reach. To make this a reality, we have consistently kept our pricing 50–60% lower than the industry average, especially for essential services like MRI, CT, and blood tests. We also provide reduced pricing during night hours, further easing access for patients.

Over the last 36 years, it has been the trust of our patients, their word of mouth, and our unwavering commitment to delivering advanced, compassionate diagnostics that have helped us scale and sustain this model. By combining exceptional diagnostic capabilities with affordability, we continue to fight for a healthcare system where early, accurate diagnosis is accessible to all.

How does Aarthi Scans and Labs offer Services at a lower cost?

At Aarthi Scans and Labs, affordability is at the heart of our vision:“The cost to diagnose a disease should not make a patient poor, that their treatment becomes unaffordable.” Guided by this principle, we have priced our scans and blood tests 50–60% lower than the market rate, without compromising on quality or accuracy.

    We achieve this through:

    Profit by volume & scale

Serving a large patient base allows us to keep costs low and pass on the benefit directly to patients.

    Efficient use of technology

Automation and digital workflows reduce manual work in reporting, improving speed while cutting costs.

    In-house management

Our leadership operates with in-depth knowledge of local needs, ensuring effective and cost-conscious operations.

    Right-sized infrastructure

We invest wisely in facilities and real estate, avoiding unnecessary overheads.

    Frugal spending

Every rupee is spent with care, prioritizing patient benefit over extravagance.

    Zero-kickback policy

We ensure that our savings is passed directly to the patients instead of intermediaries.

    CT PNS Scan

A CT PNS scan helps detect sinus infections, polyps, or structural issues affecting breathing. It takes about 5–10 minutes, and the report is ready within 6 hours. The cost ranges from ₹1,000 to ₹1,650, and the radiation exposure is very low, ensuring complete patient safety.

What is a CT PNS scan?

A CT PNS scan, also known as Computed Tomography Paranasal Sinuses, is the medical imaging of the paranasal sinuses. A combination of X-rays and a specialized CT console creates and processes clear images of air-filled cavities around the eyes and nose. Additionally, it also scans the bones and tissues surrounding the cavities for various sinus conditions.

A CT scan aids diagnostic accuracy by providing a cross-sectional view of the paranasal sinuses in thin slices. These slices make medical assessment easier, convenient, and effective in tracking subtle abnormalities within the structures. A CT scan is far more advanced than a conventional x-ray and detects inflammation of the sinuses, nasal polyps, tumors, structural abnormalities, and infections.

When and why is a CT PNS scan done?

A CT PNS scan is used to assess the sinuses around the nose and eyes. It helps diagnose sinusitis, polyps, infections, fractures, or nasal obstructions. Doctors usually recommend it for chronic sinus pain, congestion, or breathing difficulties, especially before sinus or nasal surgery.

What happens before a CT PNS scan?

Before your CT PNS (Paranasal Sinuses) scan, our radiology team will take a brief medical history to understand any existing sinus issues, allergies, or previous surgeries. You’ll be asked to remove any jewelry, spectacles, or metallic accessories around your head and neck, as these can interfere with the imaging. Usually, no special preparation or fasting is needed unless your doctor has specified otherwise. In cases where contrast dye is required to evaluate sinus complications or infections more clearly, you may be asked about allergies to contrast material, and your kidney function may be reviewed. Our technologist will explain the entire process and ensure you’re comfortable before beginning the scan.

What happens during a CT PNS scan?

During the scan, you’ll be asked to lie still on a motorized CT table that gently slides through the circular opening of the scanner. The technologist will position your head so that the sinuses located around your nose, cheeks, and forehead are accurately captured. If contrast is being used, it will be injected through a small IV line in your arm to help highlight sinus structures and detect inflammation, blockages, or infections more precisely. The scanner will rotate around your head, taking high-resolution cross-sectional images in a few seconds. You may hear soft buzzing or clicking sounds as the machine operates, but the process is completely painless. The entire procedure usually takes 5–10 minutes, depending on whether contrast is used.

What happens after a CT PNS scan?

After your CT PNS scan, you can resume your normal routine immediately. If contrast dye was administered, you’ll be encouraged to drink plenty of water to help your body flush it out naturally. Any mild sensation from the contrast injection such as warmth or a metallic taste typically disappears quickly. A specialist radiologist will analyze the images for signs of sinusitis, polyps, structural deformities, or infections, and prepare a detailed report for your referring doctor. Your doctor will then discuss the results with you and recommend the appropriate treatment or next steps based on the findings.

Who shouldn’t get a CT PNS scan?

Individuals with the following conditions can avoid getting a CT PNS scan:

    • Has an allergy to the contrast material (if contrast agent is used)
    • Have bleeding disorders (if contrast agent is used)
    • Unable to stay still for a long period of time
    • Pregnant women
    • Patients with metallic implants
    • Patients with kidney ailments (if contrast dye is used)
    • Have extreme claustrophobia
    • Small children

I took my mom for CECT full abdominal scan today. The senior technician (forgot the name) was very professional and dedicated. The procedure required my mom to hold the breathe for few seconds which she couldn’t do and scan was not done today. But the technician tried his best and comforted my mom. A big thanks for his support. Hopefully next time, she will be able to go through this. I really appreciate his efforts. Pricing and facilities are always good here. Reports are accurate.
