What is Anti Cardiolipin Ab, IgG, IgM?
This test is done to help investigate inappropriate blood clot formation, to help determine the cause of recurrent miscarriage, or as part of an evaluation for antiphospholipid syndrome
Purpose of Test
Anticardiolipins are the most commonly detected antiphospholipid antibodies. To help investigate inappropriate blood clot formation/ recurrent abortions/ antiphospholipid syndrome
Test of Result Interpretation
- IgG: Normal: < 10, Elevated: >/= 10 GPL U/ml
- IgM: Normal: < 7, Elevated: >/= 7MPL U/ml
No preparation required. Blood sample can be collected at any time.
