What is an CT Cerebral Angiogram Scan?
A cerebral angiogram (CTA) is a diagnostic imaging procedure used to visualize the blood vessels in the brain. The test is performed by injecting a contrast agent into the patient's carotid artery, then performing a CT scan. The contrast agent allows the blood vessels to be seen more clearly on the images. CTA can be used to diagnose a variety of conditions, including stroke, aneurysms, and arteriovenous malformations. The procedure is generally well tolerated.
When & Why CT Cerebral Angiogram Scan is Prescribed?
